Feedback From Past Students

"This course has far exceeded my expectations. Richard is a great communicator and teacher and it is very clear that he enjoys teaching through his enthusiasm and extensive knowledge of his areas of expertise.

I have considerable experience as a street photographer, but I still have learnt so much in the first 3 weeks of this course. Other students have not had so much experience with this genre and the course content is extremely appropriate for those exploring these genres.

Street photography versus documentary, legalities for taking photo’s in public spaces, an overview of street photographers, elements that make strong photo’s and selecting photo’s for a story line are just some of the area’s we have covered. The topic matter is covered well and the use of slides, Powerpoint, practical activity, class discussions and hands on reviews of each others photo’s makes the delivery of the topic matter interesting and suited to different learning styles.

I can highly recommend this course and feel so far that it is an invaluable course, as a photographer."

great value for such a course. Please make sure he is acknowledged for his efforts as he is clearly an asset to your the SCC."

"Richard is passionate about what he teaches and is particularly adept at challenging the students to think about what they do. I really enjoyed his approach to teaching. The instructor is very knowledgable and its clear he is passionate about teaching and delivering quality education. Able to cater to different learning styles and display a level of professionalism towards all students. I learnt a lot over the 5 week period and gained confidence in myself as a photographer. Met some lovely fellow students and made new friends along the way. Feel more comfortable in appraising my own images and being discerning about image quality."
