This will be achieved by focusing on foundational skills, including how to collect and clean data using pandas, how to test a model's performance and how to make predictions on unseen data. Once strong foundational knowledge is established, this course will provide the ideas and further resources to independently proceed and continue learning about the world of AI/ML.

• Develop custom machine learning models using Scikit-Learn and XGBoost, and use them to make accurate predictions on data sets.
• Manipulate and prepare data for building machine learning models using Pandas library.
• Measure and improve the performance of machine learning models across varying scenarios using a number of different strategies.

• Setting up the programming environment and installing Anaconda if using a personal device
• Introduction to the basic ideas behind AI/ML and how they are used to build models in Python
• First look at elementary model training code and explanations on what each part does
• Custom data collection and cleaning using pandas 
• Building first basic custom machine learning model and making predictions with guidance
• Individual machine learning project using publicly available data sources or custom collected data
• Demo/show and tell to classmates about individual project 
• Summary and recommendations for next steps depending on personal direction with AI/ML
