This course runs over 4 weekly sessions, or two hours duration, with week 4 giving you the opportunity to perform to an audience of family and friends over our Darlo Drama virtual stage!
Through participation in this course, you will learn to build story and character and to explore the techniques to free your confidence and imagination in a supportive and collaborative environment.
You will learn practical acting, voice and movement techniques in the creation of a character as well as explore a sense of community and engagement with others in our “virtual acting world”.
Share your discoveries at the conclusion of this course in an online performance to family and friends.
Learning outcomes
At the conclusion of the monologue online course, you should:
- Perform a monologue taken from a modern play to an audience of family, friends & fellow students on the virtual stage.
- Be confident in speaking and improvising
- Have a sense of leadership
