Joanna Maxwell is an author, teacher, lawyer and policy adviser. Her current senior position is with the Australian Human Rights Commission as the Director of the Age Discrimination Team. Joanna also owns her own consultancy business – Work in Colour P/L. She is an active social media participant, particularly on matters pertaining to age and transition.

Joanna is also highly experienced as corporate governance adviser.

  • Resident career coach on two series of Ray Martin’s ‘The Road Next Travelled’ radio show, about the lives and issues of several Australians in their fifties (produced by Fremantle Media for Fairfax Digital), 2015 – 2016;
